2)      270 litres mixure of milk and water contains milk and water in the ratio of 3:2. how much milk is to be added to the mixture to get a new mixure of milk and water in the ratio of 5:2. (108 ltr.).
3)      P is 60% more efficient than Q . If they work together they can complete the same job in 16-3/7 days. In how many days can Q alone finish the same piece of work. (42-5/7 days)
4)      A shopkeeper sells 20 articles for Rs.40 after giving 10% discount and earns a profit of 40%. IF no discount is offered then the earned profit percentage. (55.55%)
5)      If 8 persons can complete 2/5 of a job in 10 days then find the persons required to complete the remaining job in 8 days. . (15 men).
6)      Sumit and Ravindra two shopkeepers , buy an article for Rs.800 and 1600 respectively. Ravindra marks his article up by X % and offers a discount of X/2 %, while Sumit marks his article up by X/2 % and offers no discount. If both of them make the same profit , what is the value of X. (50)
7)      Train A crosses a pole in 50 seconds and another train B crosses it in 1 min 10 seconds. The length of train A is one third of the length of train B. what is the ratio of the speed of train A to that of B. (7/15).
8)      The population of a village is 74088. During the last three years the population increased at the rate of 5% per year. The population three years ago was (64000).
9)      The length and breadth of a rectangular plot are in the ratio of 7:5 . If the cost of fencing the plot @ 25 per meter is 4800 , what  is the area of the plot.(2240 sq m)
10)  The cost of painting the walls of a room 9 mt long and 6 mt wide at Rs.15.50 per sq mt is Rs.2557.50 . what is the height of the room. (5.5mt)
11)   The length and breadth of a rectangle are in the ration of 9:5. when the  sides of the retangle are extended on each side by 5 meters the ratio of length to breadth becomes 5:3. What is the area of original rectangle.(1125 sq mtr)
12)  The radius and the height of a right circular cylinder are increased by 25 % and 35 % respetively. What will be the percentage increase in the curved area. (68.75 %) no cylinder formula needed.
13)  The height of a tent , which is in the shape of a circular cone, is 36 mtr and the diameter of the base is 96 meters . what is the slant height of the tent. (60 m). No circular cone formula needed.
14)   Roshan can do a piece of work in 40 days. With the help of amrit , roshan does it in 30 days. What should be the share of roshan , if they are paid Rs. 2896 for that work. (2172).
15)  A person sold a car for Rs.145,340 after giving 14% discount on the lebelled price  and earned 30% profit on the cost price. What would have been the percentage profit , had he not given the discount. (51.16)
16)   The average age of the whole class is 12.05 years. The average age of all girls is 12.5 years and the average age of 45 boys is 11.75 years. What is the total number of girls in the class. (30)
17)   Ramesh covered a certain distance by car at the rate of 40 kmph and had to walk back to the initial point at the rate of 6 kmph. if the whole journey  took 13 hours and 48 minutes, what distance did he walk. (72 km)
18)  What principal will amount to 4107.50 in 5 years at the rate of 6.5% simple interest.(3100)
19)   In an event every person shakes hand with every other. If there was a total 666 hand shakes, then how many persons were there in the party. (37)
20)   A man rows certain distance downstream in 4 hours and back to the same point in 7.5 hours. If the speed of the stream is 3.5 kmph then what is the speed of the man in still water. (11.5)
21)  Out of three numbers the average of first and the second number is 52 more thatn the average of the second and the third number . what is the difference between the first and the third number.(104).
22)   Pipe Q can fill a water tank in 8 hours , pipe R can fill it in 12 hours and pipe S can empty it in 24 hours. If all three pipes are opened together in how many hours will the tank will be completely filled / Empty. (6 hours).
23)   If the letters of the word RAMAN are arranged at random, what is the probability that all the vowels will come together. (2/5)
24)  The simple interest accrued on a sum of money in 8 years is 992. if the principal is tripled after four years what will be the total interest at the end of 8 years. (Rs.1984).
25)  In how many different ways can 5 physics and 4 maths books be arranged in a shelf so that they are arranged alternately. (2880)
